The route
After the welcome in Caracas, the route heads down to Los Llanos: three nights at Hato Garza with a safari, a boat ride to watch birds, horseback riding and joropo nights.
From there it climbs to the Andes, through the Mucubají Lagoon to Gavidia, with a trek to the lagoons of the mountain range and an Andean farming activity.
After a night in Caracas, the final stage is Canaima: the waterfalls of its lagoon, the two-day excursion to Kerepakupai Vená (Angel Falls) with a night in camp and a full day at Kavak.
Day-by-day itinerary
- Day 1
Airport pickup and transfer to the hotel in Caracas. Trip briefing and welcome dinner.
- Day 2
Departure for the Venezuelan Llanos, stopping at a Llanos restaurant. Arrival at Hato Garza.
- Day 3
Venezuelan safari, boat ride for birdwatching and a night of Llanos joropo.
- Day 4
Horseback ride around the hato, Llanos sunset and a night of joropo.
- Day 5
Departure for the Venezuelan Andes, stopping at Mucubají Lagoon. Arrival in Gavidia.
- Day 6
Trek to the lagoons of the Andean mountain range.
- Day 7
Andean farming activity.
- Day 8
Return to Caracas and an evening activity in the capital.
- Day 9
Departure for Canaima and a trip to the waterfalls of Canaima Lagoon.
- Day 10
Start of the excursion to Kerepakupai Vená (Angel Falls). Night in camp.
- Day 11
Kerepakupai Vená and return to Canaima. Cultural night.
- Day 12
Full day at Kavak.
- Day 13
Return to Caracas and a farewell activity.
- Day 14
Transfer to the airport and flight home.
